Im doing a beach scene cake and was gonna do the ocean with blue piping gel. I know it doesnt have a taste but has anyone ever added a flavor to it? Im interested in just adding a bit of vanilla but wasn't sure if it would work or not.

Hi

I know this was a post from a long while ago, but I've just been looking for anything about how to flavour piping gel......I'm going to try to use a little peppermint for the Frozen themed cake I'm making next week. I didn't like the blandness of the piping gel last time I used it. I thought if it was going to cost a lot then it needed to add a bit more than just how it looked on the cake.

Will let you know how it goes down with the kids. :)
