About 2/3 of a Dunkin Hines box mix is what I use. I usually do an 8"x2" round and a 6"x2"... just the right amount of batter for them both.

I have a page saved that I use as reference. I actually have printed a few off and they always seem to dissapear on me. This is off the wilton site. On the bottom of the page there are links to 2" and 3" deep pans. In each chart they have how much batter you need to fill the size pan.

Also if you have any of the Wilton Yearbooks in the middle section they also have the guide on how much cake batter you need for all their basic shaped pans.

Another place you can find this infromation is on the paper inserts that come in the pans. When you buy a new pan you can always look at that and write it on the back of the pan with a permanent marker. icon_smile.gif
