Hello,

thanks for your wonderful icing recipe. I and some help went crazy cookie decorating today for a baby shower on saturday. I loved decorating with it. thumbs_up.gifthumbs_up.gif Thos who have tasted it, love it too. Anyway, i read in another post you use Meringue powder that is flavored?! What brand do you use? where to get it? i have only seen and use Wilton's. It's kinda gross when i'm mixing it, don't like the smell.

Thanks,
Kat

I unfortunately don't know the brand I use, as I buy it in big $25
1.5 kilogram bags from my supplier. There's no label at all. She won't tell me of course, because then I would bypass her and purchase from the factory!

Has anyone tried the CK Brand powder? Maybe that's what I'm using??!!

It has a gorgeous vanilla scent and flavour though!

Good to know. I love that company and order from them all the time. They supply a lot of stores I see with their products.

I will have to try their meringue, plus that is a good price.

So you can't just go to your local grocery store and buy meringue powder?

I wish mine carried meringue powder. I had to go to Williams-Sonoma and it is expensive. I have since found it at my local cake decorating store, but I think CK's is cheaper.

Wal Mart and Michaels both have Wiltons meringue powder. I've been using the CK from a local cake decorating store though because it's cheaper.

Okay, so those of you using the CK brand....is it already scented/flavoured with a strong vanilla?
