I finally finished !!!! It took me 3 days to do this cake ( I also have a 4 yr. old and a 7 month old to take care of in between, and a 31 yr. old husband!! icon_rolleyes.gif ). It is for my aunt's house warming shower. Her daughter said she wanted a 3D house with a swimming pool. Anyways, it was quite a cake, my biggest one yet. I'm pretty proud considering that I've never taken a class or anything, just learned from here and books mostly. Thanks for looking, hope you like it!! icon_biggrin.gif

Good Job! What did you use to make the roof on the house?

Thanks everyone!! You are all inspirations to me!!! icon_redface.gif

Greenhorn: I tried to make the roof out of mmf, but it kept folding down on the sides. So, I did the roof in crusting buttercream. I just added some light corn syrup to thin it out enough to pipe then used tip #104 with the larger side down and I started at the bottom of the roof and worked my way up doing a U shape all the way up. It was really easy and turned out alot better than the mmf roof did.
