anyone have any pointers for doing this? i know bratz dolls are a bit bigger... could i just take her head off and put it on one of the barbie's bodies, would that work better? also for putting mmf around the cake, is it easy/hard, any tips? i have to do this tomorrow for a little girl's birthday cake and i'm so worried about it! thanks!

Just build the cake taller. If you are using the "dress" pan make a 9" layer to help out and I didn't know this when I did the cake, but the feet are detatchable, so that will help some also. If you check out my pics, you can see what I did.

Oh now that's a entirely new issue. I may not work at a bakery, but treat me like one. I have had that happen to me twice recently.
