I'm not sure what to do here...help! I'm making the cake for my son's wedding rehearsal. It will be two tiered, fondant covered chocolate cake. I think that I may have to leave it in the car for the rehearsal time (1hr or so) before we go over to the restaurant. We live in So. Cal and the wedding is next month. There is underground parking at the Roosevelt where the wedding will take place so it should be sort of cool, I hope. What do you all think I should do? Leave it, bring it in, what? Should I stack it or wait till later? Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!!

I tell my customers to treat the cake as an infant. If it is too hot to leave a baby in the car without the air on than it is too hot for a cake. Maybe you can make arrangements to bring it to the restaurant before the rehearsal. It may be alittle more inconvenient but better than having something happen to the cake. Hope that helps

I agree with heavenlys: I wouldn't leave it in the car....like she said, I would make arrangements to take it to the restaurant ahead of time ..maybe they would have a nice safe cool place to set it.
