Okay, here's a question...How do you attach an icing sheet to fondant? I have a retirement cake due Friday and the lady has given me specific instructions on what she wants and how she wants it icon_confused.gif The two cakes I am making for the same board are 10" square and will each be covered in fondant. I don't want little trails of icing on top of the cake by bordering the images so the raw edges of the sheet are covered. She also does not want a top border and I agree because it would just look goofy on a fondant covered cake.

What do I do!!!!! icon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gif

You can attach by spritzing water or by using piping gel. As far as no border, what is the image of? You could always trim around the pic to eliminate the white border. In my photos, on the cake board of my son's castle cake, there are edible images of a crest that I trimmed down and it does not look too bad.

You can also use shortening but I think rubbing the surface with a little water is the best way.
