I need 1/3 tsp and 1/3 tbsp measurements for a recipe. I don't have 1/3 of any of them and can't find a set that includes it. What to do?

I just checked my measuring spoons and no 1/3's

maybe you could do it this way:

1tsp = 5ml ....so divide 5ml by 3
1Tblsp = 20 ml divide by 20 ml 3.

I can't think of another way.....hope someone else has a better idea!!!

1/3 tBsp = 1 tsp

For the 1/3 tsp, that's tricky. I think, I myself would use 1/4 tsp and then maybe estimate another half of 1/4 tsp. (I am thinking this would be as close as you can get to 1/3 tsp because 1/3 is more than 1/4 but less than 1/2). Hope I helped a little bit and didn't add more to the dilema icon_confused.gif

what are you measuring? If it's vanilla, there's not a big difference between 1/3 and 1/2 (if my recipe calls for 1 tsp of vanilla, I always throw in 3 or 4 tsps anyway! Salt I omit entirely! icon_lol.gif )
