This is the cake I volunteer to make for "Mother-Daughter banquet"(150 people) our church is holding. The theme of the banquet is "Shoe Boxes" that christian organization called Samaritans Purse started. They collect a shoe boxes filled with toys, school supplies,candy,etc...... and send it to the third world countries to the children.Eleven yrs ago I happend to recieve one of those boxes. And today occasionaly I share my story with the people inlolved.Since today my family and I leaving for vacation,I could not be there. But I volunteered to make a cake.
Anyway,I just wanted to fill you in,so you understand the point behind the cake.
Tell me what do you think. And if I should add anything.Or should I just leave it alone.
Any comments welcome here.BAD or UGLY,lol.
Thank you for looking.

I love your cakes and Operation Christmas Child. We have our kids pick a gift to leave off of their list every year and we let them take the money to fill a shoe box. They get the biggest kick out of trying to see how much one shoe box will hold.

Those cakes looked simply beautiful. Don't change a thing. Except if you had some pearl dust to go over the tiered cake. No don't it is just BEAUTIFUL the way they are.

Wow,thank you guys.I know it is bit little late for my response, but we just got back from vacation and guess what was the first thing I did the minute I steped in the house? I checked a cake central!!!
MAAAANNNN I had no idea how hard can be on person to go for that long without my daily dose of my cake central, lol. But anyway now Im back to my old routine, and let me tell you I LOVE IT.It is sooooo great to be home.Thank you again for the nice comments you really keep me going. There is no way I'd be able to get myself to volunteer for something like this a year ago.You all are great help and great people.
