Just getting into doing more tiered cakes. Here's my question.... does it make sense that a 9" cake with a 6" tier would be priced at whatever those cakes would sell for individually, added together?
Or is it more common to price by slice for any tiered cake? Would love some guidance on this...thanks!!!!
I consider anything not a sheet cake to be a wedding cake and subject to wedding cake pricing based on Wilton' Cake Cutting Chart.
I am not putting myself in the position of having to explain why a 10" birthday cake to serve 30 is cheaper than a 10" wedding cake to serve 30.
Call it what you want, but you're paying the same price...... after all, I did the same work.
(Although some of the 10" birthday cakes on this site are SO much more involved than a "simple" wedding cake tier and should cost WAY more!)
