Hello all! Newbie here. I have made a few cakes but never really got "into it" till now.

I am making a boys communion cake this weekend using chocolate frosting and MMF decorations.

Can you add the color to the melted marshmallow? I am trying to get shades of teal so I figured I would start off with a little in the melted mix to get a teal base that would be easier than kneading from scratch.

Does this make sense or is it just a "newbie" pipe dream? icon_rolleyes.gif

If you only need your MMF one color, that is the best and easiest way to do it!! Add it to the melted stuff/liquids and then fine tune it if need be after you put in the powdered sugar. Doing it that way saves you on working all that color in at then end=) HTH some, Jen
