I've been asked to do an ice-skating themed cake, and I'm at a loss! It's for a function for 20 kids (mixed ages boy and girl) at a skating rink. Can anyone help? Please? javascript:emoticon('icon_surprised.gif')

Many thanks,

Lori

You could do a cake that looked like a skate. Maybe something like this one...

Or maybe a cake like looked like a rink with little chooclate molded skates on it. You could mold them with colored candy melts and brush the blades with silver luster dust.

I did one a month or so ago. I just did a sloppy job with the bc icing to make it look like snow. I sprinkled edible glitter on top and made the skates and mittens out of mmf. I hope this helps!
