Whether it's cake or styrofoam, it all takes the same amount of talent and time, so price accordingly!!

If I even thought I had the talent to pull off a cake like this, I'd charge $600 easy!!!

I agree with christeena about it being just a much work for either cake or styrofoam, so I would charge the same for either. As far as the price I would expect for a cake like that, I would probably say somewhere around the neighborhood of $1000. (At least)

All the carving and detail should comand at least 6 or 7 dollars a serving. Even if some of it is styrofoam you still have to carve and decorate. and the styrofoam won't be as easy to carve as the cake unless they have pillow dummies.

If i was doing that cake I would probably chare $10 - $11 per person. If they would want some tiers styro I usually do them half the cost of what the real cake would have been.

No way I'd touch that cake, whether it's real or dummy, for less than $1000! Those are not easy to do! JMHO

I wouldn't touch it for any less than $700-800! I haven't done one of those before and they're soooo neat! dallas-foam.com sells pillow dummies (I think that's where I saw them).

When do you have to do this cake....or are you just in the consultation stage?

Cute cake! THe dummy's should cost anout the same as the real cake. Maybe slightly less because they are cheaper and less time consuming than making cake, but the fee for decorating should be the same.

I am in total agreement with the others. Even if you do a dummy cake it should be the same price as if you were doing a real cake.

I agree. The price is the same. You have a lot of work in front of you, but I hope to see the cake soon here in CC.

I'm always on the low in when it comes to pricing but this would have to be close to $1,000
