I am making a cake for a client for a 5 year old retro bowling them. I am making a half of a bowling ball for the top of the cake for a 3d look with retro colors. Any other suggestions for a retro touch?

I love retro! I think some retro colors are orange and yellow together...maybe black and red together.

I really liked this sign...the letters and the stars look really retro to me. It might be a nice way to do any text on the cake.

I liked the way this little graphic is arranged too...you could put a 5 inside the star.

Thanks so much for the cool links. The one with the word "BOWL" has the stars that the client wants on the cake. I was looking for something very unique. Maybe I will add some colored diamonds along with the stars.
