Well, my cake appeared to be a hit at the memorial dinner this evening.

I totally forgot but my MIL's friend that was there makes wedding cakes. Now if that doesn't put pressure on knowing if your be critiqued.

Well, she have me some tips and said my cake was very good and my icing was good too, not gritty at all.

Coming from someone that is a pro, I felt much better about my cake and what I'm doing even though this is just for fun.

Now with that said you should be ready to conquer more cake projects.
