Question - a friend of mine made the butter cream dream icing recipe and said that the icing turned out to have little green spots on it. She used all generic ingredients - britta tap water (filtered). However, she did leave the cake on the counter so I'm not sure if because this has butter in the recipe the green spots were mold?

Anyone have any input or ideas of if this is mold and if this recipe needs to be refrigerated?

Thanks
Jan

The recipe does not need to be refidgerated... Ive made BC Dream numerous times... never had green spots..

Its more than likely one of her ingrediants was bad, or something "outside" of the recipe go in to it...

I use BC Dream all the time. I've never had any problems with it either.
