Do you need to wash and clean this before you use it the first time?

I was thinking it is not sterile from a hardware store!

How do you wash and clean- hot soap and water?

Thanks

yes clean, yes hot water and soap...... but put the soap in your hands and rub the roller, don't apply to the roller, it will be tougher to rinse out.... you will find this method AMAZING.... I just started using it last week, and don't know how I ever lived without it! Good Luck!

can you hook me up with the directions on this? I guess I have missed this. Is it for buttercream?

I did that initally and after every cake and then just be sure that you let them dry completely before using them again!! Good luck!

If you need to use it on more than one cake during the day you can lay parchment paper on your cake and roll on that. Or you can buy extra rollers which is always great have extras!
