So I made my first cake that was actually paid for. It came out horrible. I work ful tme so I had the evenings to do the cake. Boy will I ever rethink this one. I made the cake tuesday evening, frosted it wednesday and decorated it thursday for an early friday morning delivery. What a disaster. The filling was ozzing and I just wasn't into the decorations as I should have been. It teaches me to take my time and be patient. The one comment I received on my cake (that it posted in my photos) was vey helpful. I will never do a cake in a hurry again.

Just wanted to vent. Thanks for listening.

Hey, I always try to learn from each cake I make. It's an ongoing thing with me. You'll be fine next time.

Well it still looks very nice. Question, what kind of a strawberry filling did you use, when did you fill it, did you refrigerate it once filled and did you make a stiff buttercream dam first before filling it?
