Okay, was so excited I bought the molds to make the figure people, had a horrible time, they stuck the first time, pulled them out put crisco in the molds, but could not get them to go flat so that they would stick together. How do I flatten them out. Also was wondering how to color the figurines. Thank you so much. ![]()
Here's a bump for you. I bought one of the polymer clay molds and can't get my fondant to come out correctly without messing up the shape of the figure. Maybe someone will help us.

I have not done this personally, but I read on here that some spray pam into the molds. They say the figurine will pop right out! HTH some, Jen
You can put some cornstarch in a knee high, and use that to powder your mold with cornstarch to keep the fondant/gumpaste from sticking. I'm not sure how to go about cleaning the crisco from there. I wouldn't use pam/criscon because you don't want that residue on your finished product. As for getting smooth backs, use a putty/spackling knife or something like it. Be a little forceful, and using the mold scrape away the excess. It takes a little practice to know how strong you need to be, but after a while, you'll get the hang of it.
Pop the molds in the freezer for 1-2 min. The fondant items will pop right out! ![]()
