Ok I am in love with vinal icon_biggrin.gif Used it for the first time last night to roll out my fondant and it was actually dreamy. I have always had a problem with my fondant sticking, no matter how much crisco or powdered sugar i put down. The vinal was miraculous no matter what I did it wouldnt stick. I didnt dust with anything. I LOVE IT!!!!

Isn't it wonderful? I think to the first few times I rolled out fondant on that horrid Wilton mat, and I feel sorry for myself! icon_biggrin.gif

Are you talking about vinyl? How thick a sheet are you using?

I went to my local wal-mart in their fabric department. They have rolls of vinyl and table covers on a rolling stand. They have a few different weights I choose the medium one to start with.

I have had SO much trouble rolling out fondant on the Wilton Mat icon_mad.gif I really cant wait to try this! Plus using too much cornstarch leaves all those white marks on colored fondant so if I can at least cut back on that, it would be well worth getting some!

Thanks to all who recommended this! icon_biggrin.gif

Are you saying that you don't have to use crico or cornstarch or anthing on the vinyl??? You just roll out the fondant??

I purposely haven't done fondant because it always sticks to the Wilton mat and I thought it was to big a pain the butt to deal with!!!

That stinks, I'm from the SE Michigan area and I my local Walmart did not have any left. It seemed like they were downsizing their fabric deparment. I sent my DH to JoAnns and they talked him into a clear piece of plastic because they didn't have any smooth vinyl. icon_cry.gif
