I am making a cake with the enhanced cake mix recipe. Will I need to refrigerate it since there is sour cream in the mix? I am also thinking about a rasberry or cherry type of filling, but I don't want to have to refrigerate it since it is for a party about an hour away. Any suggestions?

If the sour cream is in the mix, thus baked then no. But if it is in the frosting then I would put it in the fridge.

I have made cakes with sour cream and never refridgerate them. I've never had a problem and the cake probably lasted 4 -5 days, before we finished it off. I guess the exception would be depending on what type of icing you choose to put on it.

cake has been addressed here, but for the fillings, fruit fillings should be fine without refrigeration, as long as you don't do a straight jam or gelatin-style filling, not cream or custard.
