Strawberry Filling In Cake - Need To Be Refrigerated??

Hi all,

Quick question, although it might be a dumb one....

I just made a homemade strawberry filling. Ingredients are strawberries, sugar, cornstarch, and water. If I put this in a cake, does the cake have to be refrigerated? The cake will be covered in MMF, and I don't really want to refrigerate it. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!

it should be ok....i would probably refrigerate it if you had made the filling with some sort of cream but it should be fine...
