I read the tutorial here on this project for a gumpaste high heel shoe. My question is how thin does the gumpaste need to be rolled?

I roll it about 2mm thick when making a shoe - it can't be thinner as it won't stand up right - actually I prefer to use pastillage as it dries like ceramic and the shoe can be kept forever if kept dry. Any thicker than 4mm and it;s going to look too chunky.
