My 7 year old broke the news to his 5 year old brother that there was no Bunny! He hadn't even broke the news to us, except a little mention, I brushed off during Christmas. So, I only have one more kid who believes.

I found out when I tried to wake the 5 year old up, who usually gets up first. His first words were, "He's not real. My brother told me that you and dad hide our baskets."

I was starting to wonder why my 7 year old didn't know because I did in 1st grade, but DH assured me he didn't know till at least 3rd or 4th. I'm just sad that he told his brother.

I still have my daughter to believe for me.

My DD is 7, and she still firmly believes in the Easter Bunny, as do her friends. I'm a bit surprised that she has no doubt, but it's fine with me! I have so much fun being the Easter Bunny & Santa. icon_smile.gif

I can top that. My 11 year old step-son firmly believes! icon_lol.gificon_lol.gif I really want to tell him, so he doesn't get picked on. He said his friends tease him, but he doesn't care. He's afraid he won't get anything icon_lol.gif He said he doen't like to talk with them about it. icon_lol.gificon_lol.gif I love it! He ask how the bunny get to Jamacia? icon_lol.gificon_cry.gif

Mine all still believe: 7, 4, 2 but the 4 year old said yesterday, "there's no such thing as the easter bunny. The chocolate comes from a factory." and we had to convince him that there is a bunny. I don't know why he was doubting. Maybe he's just smarter than the average kid. My 7 yo and him were arguing about the Easter bunny. We proved him wrong this morning though because the Easter bunny did, in fact, arrive icon_lol.gif

At Christmas time my just turned 4year old told his 8 year old brother that Santa is just pretend. icon_cry.gif
I have suspected for a while that the oldest knows better, he snooped in stocking stuff and didn't cry about it when he got it in the stocking later or seem surprised.
He never says a word about it though, I think it's something that he would like to believe is true even though he knows better and the little one is like the oldest in that.

My daughter is 13 and she "pretends" to believe. She always does the finger "quote" she she talkes about the EB. I have told her that if you don't believe, you get socks and underware for christmas from santa and rabbit turds - chocolate covered raisins - at easter. I know she doesn't believe but she won't admit it out loud. It's still that fun stuff we do - we colored easter eggs on Saturday for the bunny to hide. She dug out her easter basket so that the EB could fill it.

We were having that issue with our middle child (icon_cool.gif who was expressing his knowledge to his younger sister (6) and I wanted to cream him. Fortunately, a bushel of bunnies (herd, pack, gaggle, whatever they happen to run in) was hopping along the front yard Saturday and helped to reinforce belief for a little longer. Gotta love a good coincidence.

lol icon_lol.gif

That must be why Santa doesn't leave me anything! Well, all the adults do tend to get a bowl of leftovers though. We just don't get our own icon_sad.gif

My nephews still believe and they are 7 and 9.

I believed until I was 12. I was in 6th grade and getting picked on really bad. So my mom finally told me the "truth" about Santa. I cried my heart out. I was so devastated! As my mom left the room I remember asking her in a small tear-stained voice "Does that mean the Easter Bunny and Tooth Fairy aren't real either." To this day (I'm 29) my mom feels terrible about it! I was just one of those kids that never doubted anything my parents told me and had a great imagination, so it never occured to me to not believe.
