How Long Can A Cake Iced With Cream Cheese Icing Stay Out?

I'm making a Carrot cake with Cream Cheese Icing for tonight. Just wondering how long can the cake stay out of the refrigerator at room temperature?
Also, I made carrots to place on the cake as decoration. I don't think this icing recipe crusts, do you think my orange carrots and grey Bugs Bunny will bleed into the frosting? Should I assemble the decorations on site?
TIA!
Mirjana
I don't know about assembling Bugs and the carrots or whether it will bleed (probably not...I've heard of black and red bleeding but I don't know for sure) but I wouldn't leave the cake out long at all, cream cheese should be refrigerated so maybe assemble it before you have pick up or delivery and keep it refrigerated until then.
how long do you plan on letting it stay out ? If overnight, I would say, probably not a good idea..if you're talking 3 hours to 5 hrs., that should be fine, as long the room is cool, not 90 - 100 degrees.. A year ago, I made a carrot cake w/ cream cheese filling and it stayed on the table for 5 hours, the icing got sligthly softer, but the taste was still good and everyone that ate it, including ,myself did not get sick.
Sounds good Including travel time, it will be out 2 1/2 hours, so I should be safe. Question for the future, would the crusting cream cheese icing be better for fondant decorations? To prevent the bleeding? I'll put my decorations on onsite, and hope for the best
Thanks for your replies

cream cheese, like butter, does not HAVE to be refrigerated according to the health dept my friend asked about. so if the icing is made with nothing else perishable it can stay out at room temp for a few days also. i have done it with no ill efects.
I also have left cream cheese icing out unrefrigerated for several days with no issues at all.
