I made a surprise birthday cake for my employer (the rose cake in my photos), and took it to work today. Well, she was up when I got there (I'm her housekeeper), and she was so thrilled about it! Her eyes started to tear up and she said that no-one had EVER made her a cake before (and she's 36!), well, that made me tear up too! It might just be that she's still a bit hormonal (she had a baby girl just over 3 weeks ago), but she seemed genuinely touched by it..........awww. Just thought I'd share this with you all icon_biggrin.gif

How sweet of you to do that!! Makes me tear up just thinking that no one ever made her a cake before!! You're a kind person for doing that for her and it made her day!!

It's a great feeling to make someones day bright. Your cake is beautiful and your roses are awesome. My first try at roses I thought I was going to go insane. So I haven't even tried it again-lol. Congrats on making your bosses day.
