I always just add a little more oil. Maybe 1/4 a cup. It makes it nice and dense.... icon_smile.gif

I don't add anything else, except maybe a little vanilla, unless I'm using an extender recipe. I've seen a lot of people on here say that they add an extra egg when they add pudding mix. Good luck with your cake, have fun! icon_smile.gif

1 box of cake mix
1 box (4 serving size) regular (not sugar free) instant pudding mix
number of eggs called for on box + 1
double the amount of oil called for on box
reduce water to 1 cup

First beat the egs, then slowly beat in the oil to create an emulsion.
Then add in the pudding mix and beat until completely dissolved.
Add 1/2 the cake mix and 1/2 the water.
Mix completely
Add rest of cake mix and rest of the water.
Mix completely then beat on high (8 on a stand mixer) for 3 minutes.

Bake at 350 for at least 30 minutes, may take up to an hour or more depending on size of pan. I always start checking at 30 minutes and then every 5 - 10 minutes there after based on the doneness.
