Well....Maybe I'm dense or blind, but I can't see a thing wrong with this cake.

Personally, my advice would be to let up on yourself! But I'm no Nick Lodge. Maybe somebody else has some advice...

i see what youre saying (although it still looks very good)...what happened most likely is that the chocolate got TOO hot while melting and then cooled off. i did a chocolate wrap on my cake the other day, and the same thing happened. when i did the second cake (same day) i slowly melted it a little at a time and it melted but barely felt warm- that one didnt bloom (turn white). i DOUBT anyone will care. the cake rocks.

indydebi, your response was so funny!

nicole, i am just learning this about chocolate too - after a few lousy experiences...if chocolate goes through extreme temperatures, it blooms, the only way to prevent that is to melt slowly . here is a little more detailed info (they probably can explain it better)

Ahh...Thanks guys. But I guess it just proves my camera can hide flaws. Your right too...maybe they won't notice...cause I was goin to knock $$ off...Cause I felt SO bad.

Thank you all..I really appreciate it. And I will def try the choc thing again...and not heat so much...thanks!!!!!

With the exception of the bloom, which I agree, probably came from being too hot, then cooling down too quickly, the CT looks great. Right out of the comic book.

You should be pleased - you reached another goal.

Your cake is absolutely beautiful, and it's just the kind of cake kids dream about having.
