I checked earlean's site and came across Puff Base. Anyone knows what is it?

It is a base that Earlene created and uses for a lot of her cakes. She sells the instructions on her website. I hope to order them soon!

If you look at the pictures on Earlene's pages, you will notice that many of the cakes rest on a pillow-like form that is covered in draped white satin-like cloth (I'm assuming its not genuine satin, which must be dry cleaned). They make for a beautiful foundation, but may not be slip-resistant (I can't say for sure since I haven't purchased and used one, but glossy fabrics are slippery, so unless there is something slip-resistant hidden under the cake plate, it won't be slip resistant.)

To find Earline's website, go to Google and search using these words just as I have them typed: "cake decorating"+Earlene
