I thought about mixing together my dry ingredients for my cake mixes and storing them in plastic containers, the only problem is I only have room in my freezer to store the containers. Does anyone know if this will ruin the ingredients? Also, any other shortcuts for cake mixes would be helpful. Thanks.

It should not ruin your cake mixes. When I get mixes from the store, I put them in the freezer for 24 hours to kill any thing that mignt be in it. For longer storage, I think I would leave out the baking powder until ready to use. Make sure the containers are air tight. This will keep moisture and odors out.
