We usualy just hold the cake in our laps while we drive, however this can be quite scary since the people in this city don't know how to drive. Does anybody have any ideas that could save us some stress and make the transportation process a bit easier?

No cake holding in the lap!!! icon_smile.gif

Your best bet is buying a roll of shelf liner-the rubbery kind. It acts as the perfect skid-proof material.

Lay a good size square on the floor of your trunk, then place the box on that. If you don't have enough trunk space use the floor in front of the seats. I don't like using car seats. They aren't level enough and cakes will shift and slide if they aren't resting carefully on a flat surface.

Hope that helped!

That sticky shelf liner is the way to go! You can also cut a small square and put it under the cake in the box as well as under the box. That way, it's sure to stay put. thumbs_up.gif
