ok maybe not 101....but some


1st one.....I need to practice making roses...which is the best buttercream icing recipe to use? I havent made a one!! and I'm not in any classes.....I do all my learning here!!! icon_biggrin.gif

I would strongly suggest purchasing the Wilton Course books 1, 2 & 3 and you can teach yourself pretty easily. There are gerat photos and all the recipes for practice buttercream, royal icing etc. Also on their website, they have alot of info including little video clips like how to make a rose. Welcome to your new world!

I think any BC icing recipe will work, to make roses the consistency is the biggest issue. You have to had a stiff enough BC to make the roses stand up, if its too soft the flow will just droop and become a big blob (I speak from experience) icon_smile.gif
