Is a challenge the same thing as as contest? When "weekly challenge" (quickly changed to monthly challenge) was first posted I thought we were talking about creative ideas. Like what can you do with gumpaste, fondant, or maybe other uses for shaped cake pans. Or maybe a theme such as Spring, circus, or perhaps sports. You know, a way to take a general idea and share our own creativity with regard to a given subject. Then, we started discussing contests. To my way of thinking this is more competitive and would involve more technique and less sharing of ideas. It would be cool though because we would be able to see some "killer" cakes decorated by experts.

So, are we talking about two separate events or one?

well its more of a challenge I think...but I understand Jackie is doing contest too.. we brought it up to jackie and she will direct it from here I think!
