I have almond bark, it is an inexpensive vanilla flavored melting chocolate. I was wondering if I could use Wilton icing colors to color this chocolate? anybody know or have ideas? I don't have the candy colors otherwise I would use those. thanks icon_rolleyes.gif

The regular water based colors will make the chocolate seize.

Get the Wilton Candy colors or Americolor candy colors -- they are old based. YOu can always use the candy colors in normal frosting.

You can use the regular Wilton colors if you put shortening in with them. It will keep the candy from siezing (if you ever get water in your candy you can use shortening to save it).

I live to far away to get candy colors if I need them so I just use the icing colors.

oh, that is good to know. I always add Crisco to my chocolate to make it softer when it sets. That way the chocolate doesn't crumble when you bite it.
