Does anyone have a recipe for royal glue used to attach gumpaste pieces together after they dry? Thanks so much in advance. icon_smile.gif

Unless I'm mistaken, I always thought it was just thinned royal icing.

I just used plain royal icing yesterday to put together a gum paste bow. I did not thin it down, just used it really thick so it would hold together. It worked fine and unless someone drops it, that bow is not moving!

Thanks for responding! For some reason I thought there was a specific recipe for this type of "glue". Guess it's straight up royal! Thanks again. icon_smile.gif

royal glue is just equal parts meringe powder and water.

Will this work for sugar layons that have broken?
