When I was at the grocery store I found pumpkin butter right next to the apple butter and decided I would try it. It is fabulous!! I was thinking about using it in a spice cake recipe. Should I put it in the cake mix or use it as a filling? What do you guys think?

I have use this to make mini pastries, but not in cake. I would like to know how it turns out, if you try it.

Jovigirl,

There are bunches of recipes online for apple butter and pumpkin butter.

They are time-consuming to make, but they are so-o-o-o good! Maybe you can get together with some galpals and have a day together making it.

I live on the edge of Pennsylvania Dutch country, and never heard of it until I moved here.
