I had a "Senior Moment" today, the cake that I posted this evening is a donation to our community centers dessert auction at the annual crab feed fundraiser. I am working in the kitchen as well as serving. Loaded up the car today with all of the tableware, gift basket, butter, and the cake. Got to the Moose lodge, they buzzed me in and there are a few people sitting at the bar, bartender is busy. But the back room is dark, no one there. I figure I am early or they are late. Didn't unload anything from the car, was waiting for helpers. Finally go up to the bartender and ask if they have a crabfeed scheduled for 6:00 P.M. he says no. Now I am thinking I must have the wrong location. I get in the car, drive to our community center, go in and talk to the office manager, tell him I can't figure out why no one is at the Moose lodge yet, do I have the wrong lodge? NO, I have the wrong DAY! It is tomorrow night, all day today I have thought it was Saturday. Oh well, now the cake is done and I can sleep in and relax tomorrow. Oh my, is this what happens in the golden years? icon_redface.gif

I'm not sure if that's what happens in the golden years because I'm not there yet........but I do have moments like that, I blame it on having a child! LOL!

I think it is great, enjoy sleeping in tomorrow, just don't tell anybody else about the "glitch" let them think you worked hard all day tomorrow too!

If that's a senior moment I must be older than I thought. I actually showed up for blood work a week early. Talk about embarrassed

I have those moments all too often. I blame it on the kids. When the kids ask me what is for hot lunch at school, I often get the day wrong and they come home and tell me!!

Well, I just discovered all of today's photos in the gallery say March 11th, so I am going to say my date error yesterday was CC's fault. Yeah, that's it! icon_rolleyes.gif

Not to worry, Shirley. I sometimes have them several times a day! With my sleep-deprived body, I sleep whenever I can, which is sometimes frequently, LOL...a lot of the time I wake up not knowing if it is, say, 3 in the morning or 3 in the afternoon. It is kinda like the old saying "wake up in a new world every day" meaning a little confused.

Yep, I definitely am officially old! Janice

I know what you mean; memory lost, sleep deprived, flashes and not to mention getting your children's name mixed-up icon_biggrin.gif

One of the younger guys at my work says "Age is nothing but a number" when he asks someones birth date to verify who they say they are when we reset their passwords. (I work at a computer helpdesk.)
