Anyone have Toba's book with the beautiful cameo cookie? Well..I searched high and low and found a cameo mold! Now I'm gonna try and make that cookie!! I'm going to do the cameo out of fondant and was wondering how to create a pretty ivory color. I have some ivory coloring but I'm thinking it might look too pink. Any other ideas? My fondant experience is limited! icon_smile.gif

Is that the type of ivory you are looking for? If so, I used Wilton's ivory to get that color.

Here's the one I bought. Don't know how well it's gonna work but I went to several push mold/polymer mold sites and people talked about using them for "food" items. Anyway, I'm gonna give it a try and keep my fingers crossed!

Have you taken pics of your cameo cookies? How did they turn out??!!!

I just received Toba's cookie book yesterday. I was so inspired I order several different molds!

I found this site that has a very good selection....

I haven't made the cookie yet. I just played with the fondant and the mold to make sure it will work. I have my dough made, rolled and in the freezer. I plan on making my cookies this weekend. Can't wait to see how it works out. Thanks for sharing the link. There's a couple of them I will probably order! Let me know how yours work out too! icon_biggrin.gif

I ordered the cameo, a really cute bunny, and peacock for easter. I love the idea!

I love those molds. I see on the ebay site it said as long as you only used them on food it was Ok. It also talked about using them with chocolate. Thank you for recommending both those mold sites! texastwinkie andcrolfes83 thumbs_up.gif
