What Is This Tool And What Does It Do?

it looks like some sort of cutting tool. I am guessing that the discs can spread out so that you can make multiple strips at the same time out of fondant. That is my guess anyways.
I have one also. I thought it was for making pie crusts to incorporate the ingredients (but I am not much of a pie baker so only guessing.)
I use mine to cut up my gumpaste/fondant into pieces so I can knead them back together again when I am coloring a ball.
My discs are too close together to use for cutting fondant into strips for ribbon roses or bows.
Hope this gives you some help.

edited to remove the word "like" used two too many times - I am NOT a Valley Girl and shouldn't sound "like" one.
I think it is for making the lattice type pie crust. Does the tool cut complete strips or are there connecting bits on the strip?
If there are connecting bits, I think you then pull the strips apart a little bit so that you have the lattice pattern on the top of the pie. Hope this makes some sense. I can picture it in my mind but cannot seem to make it sound right in words.
I've always used that to chop herbs - I think its called a parsley cutter.
It can be used to cut fondant into thin strips to use for eg hair, I dont think u can make ribbons using it.

It's a mint & parsley herb cutter. I bought one to cut strips of fondant, too.
