Hey everyone!! here is my first cake using mmf. My son's teacher is having twins and had a baby shower today at school and they asked my to do the cake and said that they did not care what I did, so I decided to try this mmf stuff out. I thought it turned out cute. I also did the little babies and butterflies icon_smile.gif

believe it or not - I almost bought that exact butterfly on top at a mall for $10.00 and then yesterday I went into a family dollar store to buy a needle and there they were a ton of butterflies and dragonflies for $1.00 each. it was so perfect icon_smile.gif I am so happy with this cake (not to sound all conceited or anything) I have done 1 cake before using the regular fondant but it was on a dummy (the cake below) never on a real cake much easier to work with a dummy haha

Super cute! Great job! Did you have any trouble with tearing? How thin/thick did you roll it out? I have only used mmf to make accent pieces and would love to try it on a cake, but I'm a huge chicken!

I did have one spot that tore a little but was easily covered up with one of the butterflies. I think that I got it to about 1/4 of an inch. I would say try it, you never know if you like it til you try icon_smile.gif
