New To Cake Central

Hi everyone,

I just found the lounge. Wanted to give a little info about myself. I am a full-time SAHM and a military wife of 12 years. We have two children one boy-Devin (11) and girl-Chrissy (9). Currently we live in England but we have lived in Japan (7), Biloxi (3), and Great Falls, MT (1).

We are new to England but I am loving it so far after being in Japan for 7 years. I am also new to cake decorating. I make cakes but they are not fancy. I would like to work on my skills and hopefully make cakes for my local coffe/tea shops around town. I think it exciting to have my cake featured in restuarant.

I'm enjoying looking around the forum and am looking forward to meeting everyone.

Hi Tamara ~ glad you found this site, it is a very safe and friendly place to land. The people here are of various levels of talent/skill in decorating (of which I am on the bottom rung). But I am learning a lot from all the discussions and articles and trying things out as I go with very good results. I think you will be able to hone your skills in no time because you will get plenty of help from the members of this site when you ask for it.

Best advise.... if you have other things to do, then do it before hopping onto cake central.... you end up being there for a while!!! But its fun.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. Just wanted to give you an update. I had the health inspector come today and everyting looks like a go for the business. I am so excited!
