How Do I Translate Recipes If I Live 2000 Above Sea Level

Hello all you cakeexperts out there, I live in Mexico city and I have been trying to make some of your wonderfull recipes but I can seem to make them right I never tought it would be that the recipes are made to your own altitude is there any way that I can make a correct recipe from my altitude thanks in advance, or how I can make them right...

No problem. My last job had me doing a ton of research so it just takes me a few minutes to find things.

If making a scratch recipe, try to decrease the sugar in your recipe by a Tablespoon or two to start. Also decrease your leavening (baking powder or baking soda) by a 1/4-1/2 teaspoon and increase your liquid just slightly (maybe 1/8 of a cup).
I'm at a mile high, hope these suggestions help!
