Hello all, I'm new to this site and have a problem that's irking me to death. Does anyone own or know the manufacturer or where to buy a white cake plate that has holes around the edges that you can put ribbons and such kinda woven in, so you can change the look of the plate by changing them? Any help would be appreciated!! tia ~tiffany P

Those are called lace edge milk kglass plates. If you search google regular search or images you'll see them. I think they are antiques because they come up in auctions and china replacement companies. Good Luck! They make a very pretty presentation.

I saw one at Target about a week ago on clearance (in their home decor around the word section. It was in with the pink stuff)

Hallmark carries a white pedestal cake plate that you cane insert ribbon around the edge. Just do a search on their web site.

I have several cake plates like youi described. One of them is underneath my "Bear Hug" cake in my photos. What you can't see in the photo is that it has a pedestal underneath...about five or six inches high...maybe higher. I have two that hold full-size cakes and four that hold small cakes. I got mine at Hobby Lobby among the valentine stuff. They might still have some in the markdown area. (I bought every one my Hobby Lobby had, thinking I might use them in groups.) So far, I haven't used ribbons on them, but that's how they were displayed.

Southern Living makes a plate and a platter like that. They're called "dress me up" plate and platter.
