Hi-
I'm planning on using the Wilton stand up cake pan to attempt a "Jojo's Circus" tent cake for my daughter's birthday. But I've never used this pan before and have two questions..

1) How many people would this cake feed? I noticed in some pictures that people had it sitting on top of a 9x13 flat cake. I only need enough for a dozen people though.

2) What kind of cake mix works the best? I noticed it said on the instructions that pound cakes worked better. Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance!

I made this cake for Halloween and used a pound cake like the directions suggest and it worked perfect- you can see it in my pictures. I am sure it would feed a dozen people without a problem, but too many more and I would think about making more. (Maybe make two of them and stick them back-to-back?)

Hope this helps!

I made a cake using this pan and I used a pound cake recipe. However, I have also used this recipe when it called for a sturdy recipe, which I prefer over a pound cake.
