Is Cool Whip good for piping??? Just a simple shell border??
And can it be flavoured?

You should be able to do a shell border with cool whip if you use it while it is still fairly stiff.
Very cold.

I sometimes add a teaspoon of vanilla to store-bought whipped cream. I'm sure you could use other extracts...
