Hi -

I just did the cake mix extender recipe and realized I used FAT FREE sour cream - is this going to make my cake flop? Has anyone used it before?

Thanks
Christie

fat free ok...just fewer calories (what? about 1/2 per bite?)...but who's counting!

it's cake after all!

Ok - I do not usually buy fat free items - I was worried it would water it down.

Thanks for responding.

I used fat free yogurt the only time I used the recipe and my cake did not rise at all and it tasted uncooked.....

I hope you have better luck.

jenteach: try cooking the cake longer when you use the extender. I sometimes have to double the time. I use lowfat yogurt for mine and everyone loves it!
