Hi CC'ers!
This cake is my first attempt at a pillow cake and it didn't quite turn out the way that I wanted, so I only charged $35 for it. I baked a 12 x 18 sheet cake and cut it in half and stacked it and carved the sides. The carving for the top took so long, I never carved the bottom. Most say I've under charged, but I wasn't comfortable charging more than $35. Please be brutally honest and tell me your opinions on how much you would be willing to pay for this cake or how much you would charge. It's the princess cake in my photos.
Thanks guys!!!
It's beautiful. You probably did undercharge but I'm the same way, I just never know and then feel bad charging too much. But this cake is gorgeous, you did an excellent job.
Is it buttercream, did you just let it crust and then use the mat??
I think it looks GREAT!!! I've got an order for one in May, so any advice or tips would be highly appreciated. Oh..and I think I've quoted $60 for a 10" square pillow cake and a small 4" square matching smash cake. Just FYI!
Your's looks wonderful though! I hope I do half as nice!
You did a beautiful job on it and I would have paid/charged 55 or 60 easily..............easily! Great job!
