Here's what kept me up 'til 1:55am last night the girl that saw this picture of a baby shower cake I made and she wanted one for her niece but she gave two napkins pink and green with polka dots and wanted to incorporate these things an the other cake into one she let me do whatever I wanted so this is what she got, I also want to ask how much would you charge for a cake like this if you sell cakes, if you don't sell cakes how much would pay for something like this?, I just wanna know if I overcharged or the opposite. 10" double layer cake vanilla, buttercream dream pink icing in the middle, 4mm pearls painted with pearl dust, fondant booties painted with pearl dust also,
PLEASE critique away!!!!what could I have one better?
My feelings won't be hurt at all

How much were your supplies? If I had to just throw out a number, I would say around $50 or so?

A ten inch double layer starts at $40 in this area. Fondant accents raise the ante. My guesstimation is $55-$60.

Edited to ask how you attached your pearls? If you used a tweezer it took lots of time that you should be compensated for.

I'd say @ least $50. How much money did you put into it & how much time? Very cute cake, by the way. I've made to booties & they were a big hit.

Grampam -- I use special tweezers meaning "they are only for pearls" just regular tweezers. Thank you all so much for the feedback

$50. No less, because this is a medium size cake (in my book). They are cute. Perhaps a bit more decor on the 1st one, baby footprints on the side, maybe add in small molded candy melts like bottles, teddy bear, etc. I like my cakes decked out. But then again, sometimes I leave it simplicity. These cakes look nice, if I were the customer, I'd be happy with them!
