I am trying to make the My grandma's amazing Chocolate Chip Cookies recipe from this site. I just noticed I need 1 tsp of baking soda which of course I do not have. I am too lazy to put on a bra and go to the store. Is there something I can substitute? How noticeable will it be if I leave it out?

Hi darby, the baking soda is a very important ingredient as it will help the cookies rise.

Do you have any self rising flour, then you wouldn't need the baking soda.
