I need to know how to make a poinsettia. What base do I use? What tip? Thanks for all your help!

Check the wilton site under decorating techniques. There are instructions for the pointsettia there. hope this helps

Have you ever used a "lily nail"? It's a plastic 2 piece unit (somewhat like a flower nail that you use to make roses) but this one is cupped. I can guide you through it if you have one of these....... These are individual flowers about the size of a half dollar made with royal icing if your interested. You could make them out of buttercream if you want - they would have to be air dried either way. Let me know.

Purchase the Martha Stewart "Living" magazine for December. On page 139 she has instructions for making a white chocolate poinsettia. It is really nice. I am going to try it.

These flowers are very pretty with a crushed opalesque crystals sprinkled on them after you've made each one so it adhere's to the flowers.
